2010 has been a trying year. PhD candidacy exams, lots of personal struggles/challenges, travel for work, numerous seminars to give and LOTS of studying. In August, we took a break. It was so desperately needed…we were very fortunate, and learned that Costa Rica is a simple 6.5 hr plane ride away from DC. Wow!
Our trip was broken into 3 sections:
1. Aug 11-14 | Central Pacific: Quepos/Manuel Antonio National Park
2. Aug 14-17 | Guanacaste: Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve & Arenal Area
3. Aug 17-18 | San José
If you ever have the opportunity, Costa Rica is a beautiful and relatively affordable destination. For tips or recommendations feel free to email.
