The Right Hardware.
New updates on the renovation:
Painting – All done. I needed to finish the back bathroom and had almost all of it finished, but not it is. The ceilings were dark blue (2nd), and bright yellow (master) beforehand, but now are a nice white. I painted them the same colors as I did the rest of the unit and they look really nice, especially with the shower curtains.
New Medicine Cabinet – I decided Arzhang probably would want some storage (that wasn’t under the counter storage) for the 2nd bathroom. And being that they didn’t have the vanity light I wanted when I went to RH I decided to get the cabinet instead. It’s a nice unit and matches the mirror I had previously installed. It swings open and has two shelves inside; here’s a look:

The bathroom really is coming together well though. I also picked out a material for the shower-surrounds; thinking Travertine right now. Still haven’t picked out a nice floor I like — we’ll see.
Hooks – When I redid the front closet I ripped out everything in it and started over; it greatly increased the storage efficiency (1 shelf to now 3 shelves and 4 baskets), but it also got rid of the hanging bar. I had a plan for this, and decided to go with hooks for coats and things. I picked out this hook from RH, but decided it was a bit expensive and it was actually a bit longer (read: sticks out from the wall further than I wanted) when I saw it in person. So I went with this one in satin nickel instead. I installed six in the front closet and two in the master bath.

Comp Desk – We now have matching desks in the office area and the G5 is up and running (side note: there are 5 unsecured wireless networks in the very near area…kind of sad, I will probably let the people in my building know at the next mtg, just to be nice). The desk was from Dania and fits the bill.
Anyway, calming down on the updates. I’m going to finish unpacking the last of my boxes this week and then hopefully install the blinds if they come. Next will be lighting (track and vanity), and maybe the bathroom fans.
