Southern Utah is a strange and beautiful place. Mike and I took a trip down at the end of May (21-28) to the Moab-Arches-Canyonlands area; it was simply fantastic! We hiked, biked, rafted, burned [me, more than him], ate, watched a marathon of Big Bang Theory, enjoyed our luxurious FX35, in general had an amazing time, and of course took [countless] photos along the way. I couldn’t have asked for a cooler travel buddy. There is a plethora of photos on my Flickr (link here), but here are a few teasers.

If you ever have the opportunity, it certainly is worth the visit and is an exceptionally unique area of the country. P.s. rent the high end bikes — they’re worth it!

What a perfect weekend. Erin and I took a day trip to Paradise at Mount Rainier and the weather couldn’t have been better. It was absolutely clear up on top, albeit cold and snowy. The snowshoeing and scenery was awesome and beautiful, respectively. A few photos below, or see more on my Flickr.

This past weekend I took a long weekend with a good friend from college and headed to Canada (ey). What a fun trip! After a very busy October I was in need of a vacation and a lot of rest and relaxation. Done and done, and managed to get a bunch of photos along the way. It was my first time to Vancouver and what a phenomenal place; wow was it absolutely photogenic at this time of the year! A few photos below, and as always see more on my Flickr.

Boise Bench:

Schamp is a world-wide travel guide site that creates dynamic maps that are integrated with photos by local artists, useful background reading / suggested tours, and reviews by the public and local correspondents for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, parks, museums, etc! for about 200 destinations throughout the US, Europe, and elsewhere.

Anyway, I was contacted by one of their editors requesting usage of one of my photos for the Schamp Boise Guide. Here is the inclusion under “Boise Bench,” and was a photo I took when visiting friends in early July of this year.

Thanks Schmap! Consent was happily granted. Here is the photo on Flickr.

I took a drive over to Snoqualmie Falls tonight to try to catch the last bit of sunset, and what a beautiful view it was. We had clouds all day in Seattle accompanied by modest on-and-off rain this afternoon; tonight, however, opened up and both the sunset and moon were visible through the huge cumulus clouds. It made for a very pleasant and relaxing evening. Here are a couple of photos of the falls, see them larger on my Flickr (or click them for the direct links).
